Bookkeeping with a CFO behind it

CFO-level bookkeeping for contractors and small businesses, nationwide.

I'm not a bookkeeper who took a QuickBooks course. I'm the CEO and CFO of Starflower Bookkeeping, and I've run the finances of a 7-figure construction company. I bring that same financial oversight to your business. I don't just keep your books clean, I tell you what your numbers are saying.

Why owners switch to me

Most bookkeepers record the past. I help you run the business.

A CEO and CFO, not just a bookkeeper

I'm the CEO and CFO of Starflower, and I've run the finances of a 7-figure construction company. That same level of financial oversight is what I bring to your books.

Construction industry specialist

Job costing, progress billing, retainage, WIP, 1099s. I speak contractor, so I catch the things a generalist bookkeeper never will.

Cleanup & catch-up expert

Behind on your books or inherited a mess? Cleanup is one of the most common ways clients find me, and one of my favorite things to fix.

In their words

Kind words from people I get to work with

Real reviews from business owners I work with every month.

“Working with Angie has been the best decision my company has made. She is so responsive, so knowledgeable, and so kind. She is so professional and has helped us understand and work through many situations. Highly recommend!”

“I cannot recommend Angie highly enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable about anything I have asked for bookkeeping and business taxes. She has also helped me avoid a number of issues that would have come back to bite me if she hadn't gone out of her way to make sure I knew how to fix it.”

Jacob Bailey

Verified Google review

“Angie is what keeps my business working. She keeps me from fearing tax time and I can't put a number on that. Every time I've asked a question about money or taxes, she's able to break it down in a way that makes sense and isn't overwhelming. She's been the best addition to my team and I can't say thanks enough.”

Your office manager in a box

  • Help filling out forms, from vendor packets to government paperwork
  • Filing for business licenses and keeping the renewals on track
  • Reviewing your insurance renewals before you sign
  • General liability and workers' comp audits, handled start to finish
  • Any other question you'd ask an office manager to track down the answer to

Included with every monthly bookkeeping plan at $500 and up.

Included, not an upsell

Someone to hand the paperwork to

Every monthly bookkeeping client at $500 and up gets this, and it's a big part of why I cost more than most bookkeepers. Forms that need filling out, licenses that need filing, an insurance renewal you're not sure about, a workers' comp audit letter. Hand it to me. Whatever you'd ask an office manager to go find out, you can ask me.

Who I help

Built for businesses that run on jobs, not just months

Construction and the trades are home turf for me, but any small service business that wants clean books and straight answers is a fit. If you've ever finished a busy month with no idea whether you actually made money, we should talk.

Contractors & construction

General contractors, foundation and concrete, remodelers, and the trades that run job to job.

Trades & field service

Electricians, plumbers, HVAC, landscapers, and crews billing work in the field.

Service businesses

Consultants, agencies, and small service companies that need clean books and real answers.

“I don't just keep your books clean. I tell you where you're leaking money, which jobs are actually profitable, and what's coming before it hits you.”

Angie, CEO & CFO, Starflower Bookkeeping

Worth knowing

Why the cheapest option often costs more

A lot of my work starts with books that were kept on the cheap. That low monthly rate feels great right up until tax time, when the numbers don't hold up and the deductions were missed. It's a really easy thing to get caught by, and it's nobody's fault for trying to keep costs down.

If something feels off, bring me your books and your questions. Fifteen minutes usually tells us both a lot.

Not sure your books are telling you the truth?

15 minutes on my calendar. Bring your questions or just your suspicion that something's off. No prep needed, no obligation.
